It was a great season opener thanks to all of you fans, drivers, pit crews and employees. Everyone is asking about two things: When is the web going to updated on a regular basis? Are they going to be make up dates for the rain-outs?
We have heard several comments about the website. All of them are valid and we appreciate your patience.
We are considering make up dates for the rainouts. Drivers and fans please let us know your degree of interest in having additional dates.

Anyone "New" wanting to work at the track, apply in person on Season Opener scheduled for April 18th. Come to the track office between 4 to 6 p.m. and fill out an application and begin working that night if you are able. Originally we planned on having the application process happen at Test & Tune. Since the weather has caused us to cancel twice, we are opening the application process on the Season Opener so that people don't have to keep moving their schedules around. If Season Opener is delayed for any reason, the application process will still occur on the date of the Season Opener. Updates will be posted on the web. Thank you.

To date, the FFA of Buffalo County, PTA - Minnesota, 4-H of Buffalo County, Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, and The Knights of Columbus have signed up for 50/50 raffles at the track for the upcoming 2008 regular racing season. Patrons and racers have been very generous in past years. Many non-profit groups made $300 to $500 a night as result of the 50/50 raffles conducted in 2007. Don't miss your opportunity to support a non-profit organization you belong to.
Racers, this is your time to test out your racing machines! The weather is warming up and the snow is melting - good signs that Mother Nature is cooperating in an early start to the 2008 racing season. This is also a good time to secure your parking places at the Tri-Oval, if you have not already done so. We will have the book on hand in the office.
Fans, come out and support your favorite racers and be the first to see their race cars work out around the Tri-Oval.
Thank you, everyone for your support of the Tri-Oval Speedway! "Without You We Would Just Be Spinning Our Wheels!"
SEE YOU AT TEST & TUNE!!

SEE YOU AT THE CAR SHOW!
Saturday, February 23rd, Tri-Oval Speedway held its annual banquet at the Hilltop Bar & Ballroom in Fountain City, Wisconsin. The evening consisted of great food, door prizes galore, and wonderful information about the upcoming season at Tri-Oval Speedway. Owner Jeff Duellman thanked everyone for a great year and for all of their support. Duellman also shared the great news that the racetrack zoning issues have all been resolved which includes the track formation staying a tri-oval as well as the new pits being zoned commercial versus agricultural. All is well with the track, and he is ready to dive into 2008. And Duellman will not be doing it alone this year. The big news of the evening was when Duellman introduced two gentlemen to the Tri-Oval family. Kenny Bruhn of Newport and Dave Larson of Cottage Grove are new partners with Duellman and the racetrack. Tri-Oval Speedway now has tri-partners which will make a great addition to the speedway and the goals of Duellman. Duellman presented both Bruhn and Larson with Tri-Oval Speedway jackets and thanked them for joining his venture.
After the meal and announcements were made, it was on to trophy presentation time where a few first-time track champions were crowned. Bill Baures of Fountain City headed the group of Hornets with his first track championship in the division. Bill Engler of Hixton came in second, Josh Crary of Plainview came in third, Shawn Applen of Rochester was fourth, and Chad Kosidowski of Cochrane rounded out the top five.
In the WISSOTA Street Stock division, Brad Dennis of Houston, Minnesota collected his first ever track championship in a virtually flawless season with four feature wins and 11 heat wins on the season. Coming in second was the 2006 Track Champion Kevin Hager of Kellogg, Minnesota also with four feature wins and eight heat wins on the season. Tom Hund of Fountain City clamped onto third place only ten points behind Hager with three feature wins and one heat win on the season. Quinn Arnoldy of Arcadia, Wisconsin finished fourth place, and Dan Bork of Fountain City completed the top five in the most competitive and exciting class at Tri-Oval Speedway in 2007. It appears that all plan to return in the WISSOTA Street Stock division, so it is bound to be another exciting year for the class.
Eighteen-year-old Josh Angst of Winona, Minnesota collected his first track championship in the WISSOTA Midwest Modified division with four feature wins and 11 heat wins. Travis Krause of Buffalo City, Wisconsin followed in second place with five feature wins and ten heat wins to close his season. Kyle Jumbeck of Houston, Minnesota reeled in a third place finish only one point behind Krause with five feature wins and six heats wins on the season. Andy Hoch of Alma, Wisconsin finished fourth place, and Bud Pehler of Bluff Siding, Wisconsin rounded out the top five. Angst debuted in a USRA Modified at the end of the season. His plan is to race in that division but maybe dabble in the WISSOTA Midwest Modified as well.
Gary Wiersgalla of Fountain City, Wisconsin made his dreams come true by finally grabbing the WISSOTA Super Stock track championship at the track he grew up with. Although Wiersgalla has a track championship at another track, a Tri-Oval track championship was always on his mind. Two feature wins and nine heat wins put him where he needed to be. Matt Durnen of Winona, Minnesota finished a very close second (six points back) with three feature wins and three heat wins on the season. Adam Stockhausen of Winona came in third place and also finished six points behind Durnen. Winona's Jon Duffy came back in grand fashion after taking 2006 off to finish fourth in points followed by Eric Thill of Winona.
Bob Timm of Rollingstone, Minnesota took home the USRA Modified track championship with three feature wins and six heat wins over Fountain City's Steve Speltz. Seasoned veteran Paul Hamernik of Winona finished a strong third place, and Kasson, Minnesota's Todd Scharkey finished fourth place. Hank Rollinger Jr. of Buffalo City completed the top five in the division.
Tri-Oval Speedway will open its season on Friday, April 11th. Many specials will be on the card including the WISSOTA AMSoil Dirt Track Series the week of the Fourth of July. The season-ending Great Pumpkin races will be held in October for what should be a great finale again. The Tri-Oval Speedway website has been redesigned and is up to date. Be sure to keep an eye on it for all the latest information about the track.

We would like to thank everyone for joining us for the USSA Snowmobile Races! We received wonderful feedback.
Most of the racers said they were apprehensive about coming to the Tri-Oval, since this is the first time ever that these pros have
run a TRI-OVAL track. Similarly, the Sno-Cross racers were concerned about coming to race at a new facility, on a track that was
just built! Thankfully, the weather held up and the creative minds of Jeff's Excavating and Bruhn Excavating we able to provide the
Oval Ice Racers and Sno-Cross will a track that they compared in quality to Eagle River! Wow! We are so glad everyone enjoyed the
track and are making plans to return next year! Tri-Oval Speedway is working with the USSA to bring these USSA Boys and Sno-Cross
Experts back two times next Winter. Again, our thanks to racers, fans, and staff for being a part of this landmark event at the Tri-Oval Speedway.
It is certain that without each of you "We Would Just Be Spinning our Wheels."
Come see these Snowmobile Pros tear up the Tri-Oval
Speedway as they compete in both on the Oval and a Sno-Cross course.
Watch the Ice Oval racers soar at speeds up to 120mph on the 3/8
track. Also, on site and ready to rock and roll are the USSA Sno-Cross
Pros flying in the air 30-40 feet on the newly built Sno-Cross track
that promises to challenge these pros and give the audience a thrill
to remember.
